Various Designs - Large Tin

I am a life-long stitcher and a passionate collector of textiles, ephemera and objects. In my work I try to combine these elements to create miniature stories. Each of my pieces captures a particular narrative coupled with a reflective message. I use recycled textiles and objects and I create them in vintage hinged tins and antique jewellery boxes. These items often have their own story to reveal evoking past times.Each work is original, pulling together the techniques of machine and hand embroidery and featuring miniature pieces and characters, often inspired by my local landscape. My aim is to share something thoughtfully handmade and unique with you. I hope that you love my stories as much as I do and that they bring some reflection and whimsy to your busy days.
