I have been a figurative sculptor for two decades having originally trained as a scientific illustrator. Following my years working as a freelance illustrator for The Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew I felt drawn to the shapes and structural forms of the plants I closely studied and the lively, flowing life drawings that informed my early explorations in sculpture. I prefer to work in recycled steel, giving new life and energy to discarded materials, creating works with visible energy and passion that speak to their audience. She has exhibited throughout the UK and has private commissions all over the world including Europe, USA and Australia and more recently created a sculpture to raise much needed funds for UNICEF for which she was a nominated Creative finalist in the JustGiving Awards 2024.
