The Artist - Anna Walsh

Anna Walsh is a British artist and designer based in southeast London whose work explores the relationship between humans and the natural world. Growing up between London and Worcestershire, Anna developed a deep affinity for nature and animals, themes that frequently appear in her art. Blending drawing, photography, and digital processes, Anna creates screenprints, digital prints, and cyanotypes with a playful urban twist and a touch of humor. Her work is often informed by vintage natural history illustrations, maps, and charts, which she uses to explore her chosen themes. A graduate of Camberwell College of Arts with an MA in Artists' Books, Anna co-founded the artist collective Garudio Studiage and is a member of ArtCan. Her work is held in private collections and the Tate Gallery Artists’ Book collection. In 2024, she was shortlisted for the Derwent Drawing Prize, underscoring her creative impact.
